Course Description
The Nail Technician Workforce Certificate offers students the opportunity to receive the instruction and skills without placement tests, general education requirements and college applications. Students pay continuing education’s rates without regard to residency requirements. Workforce certificates are suited for students looking to acquire workforce skills without receiving college credit.
This course covers techniques of nail technology, hand and arm manipulation and recognition of nail disorders and diseases, sanitation, disinfection, manicures, pedicures, artificial applications, and other related subjects. Upon completion, students should be able to safely perform all nail care applications that are available in a salon setting.
Employment Opportunities
Graduates should qualify to sit for the State Board of Cosmetic Arts examination. Upon successfully passing the State Board exam, graduates will be issued a license. Employment is available in nail salons and related businesses.
