Certificate Description
This certification covers the NFPA 1035 Standard for Fire and Life Safety Educator Professional Qualifications, Current Edition.
Program Learning Outcomes
Firefighter students will:
- Learn to operate safely and effectively at an emergency incident.
- Participate as a member of a team to educate the public and special needs groups about fire safety in the home and workplace.
- Perform the duties of a Fire and Life Safety Educator in the State of North Carolina.
Employment Opportunities
Upon completion of this certification, individuals will be able to function and apply for positions as a credentialed fire and life safety educator in the State of North Carolina.
