Certificate Description
This course covers the NFPA 1002 Standard for Fire Apparatus / Driver Professional Qualifications, Current Edition.
Certificate Learning Outcomes
Firefighter students will:
- Learn to operate safely and effectively on an emergency incident.
- Participate as a member of a team to mitigate and control various emergency incidents.
- Perform the duties of a fire apparatus driver and operator in the State of North Carolina.
Employment Opportunities
Upon completion of this certification, individuals will be able to function and apply for positions as a credentialed fire apparatus driver and operator.
