				Course DescriptionThis five-month Pharmacy Technician Certificate course is designed to provide instruction in the technical procedures for preparing and dispensing drugs in the hospital and retail settings under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. 	Assist the pharmacist in serving patients.Maintain medication and inventory control systems.Participate in the administration and management of pharmacy practice.Be proficient on the laws and regulations relating to pharmacy practice.Perform the duties of the pharmacy technician in both retail and institutional settings.Be proficient in drug classifications.Be proficient in pharmaceutical abbreviations, measurements and calculations. Employment OpportunitiesUpon completion of this course, individuals should be able to apply for positions in both hospital and retail pharmacies.
