This course provides an introduction to ecological concepts using an ecosystems approach. Topics include energy flow, nutrient cycling, succession, population dynamics, community structure, and other related topics. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate comprehension of basic ecosystem structure and dynamics. *This course has been approved for transfer under the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement as a pre-major/elective course.*
