Paramedic Admission Procedure

To be accepted into the College’s Paramedic program, students must meet the following criteria: 

1. Must be 18 years of age.
2. High school or general education development diploma.
3. Possession of a valid/active EMT credential
4. Anatomy & Physiology
   • Anatomy & Physiology (BIO 168 & 169*) or
   • Anatomy & Physiology (BIO 163*) or
   • EMS 3163 or
   • EMS 3168 & EMS 3169, or
   • Anatomy & Physiology Course that will transfer in as one of the above listed courses.
5. All candidates will first be required to complete a Paramedic Candidate Entrance Assessment.
   • Part 1 consists of a written educational level assessment examination and score at a college-level in English and Math. Candidates must complete this assessment at the required level within two attempts to continue to Part 2.
   • Part 2 will consist of factual, scenario, and critical thinking questions to assess your knowledge of EMT, Anatomy & Physiology - knowledge candidates should know by pre-requisites and are expected of an entry-level Paramedic. This section will be used to set the seating for the course.
